The traditional ballade has an envoi of four lines rhymed abab conventionally addressed to a Prince (of Darkness?). You are asked to supply such envois ( up to five per entrant by February 23rd ) without the pain of composing the other twenty-eight lines of the full form. They can be to the Prince, or any other person or entity, freestanding or off a peg, epigraph or quotation as you please.
