Here’s something you may not have heard –
it’s tremendous fun to be a nerd.
I much prefer to embrace abstractions
and forgo life’s more mundane attractions.
While some may seek a beer to guzzle,
I’d rather work a crossword puzzle
and skip the bland propriety
conforming to society.
Life’s just a great big bowl of cherries
when poring over dictionaries
and an exciting encyclopedia
now online in multimedia.
Life could certainly be worse
than nerding through the universe
cruising at my own sweet speed
with thoughts to think and books to read.
So whether it’s mathematics
equations simple and quadratics
or living in the wacky world of words
let’s cheer and celebrate the life of nerds.
