(With apologies to Gelett Burgess)
I never metaphorically,
but hope to someday meet one;
aphorically – a phorically! It would be categorically
enjoyable to greet one.
I never sentimentally,
and hope to never send one;
imentally – a mentally! I wouldn’t accidentally
be apt to mail a friend one.
I never tautological,
but hope to someday teach one;
ological – a logical! I’d use my pedagogical
proficiencies to reach one.
I never pseudonymity,
and hope to never sue one;
onymity – a nymity! I’d flee from its proximity,
and prudently eschew one.
I never automatically,
but hope to someday awe one;
omatically – a matically! I’d dazzle it emphatically
the instant that I saw one.
I never customarily,
and hope to never cuss one;
omarily – a marily! My curses, momentarily,
would utterly nonplus one.
I never mystifyingly,
and hope to never miss one;
ifyingly – a fyingly! It’s hidden, underlyingly,
in verses such as this one.
