This species’ speed cannot keep pace
with Chimney Swifts; the Not-Too race
eschews migration, saving face.
Old nests are patched with mud they smear.
They munch on passing bugs and rear
a few wee swiftlets every year.
Full-grown Not-Toos, far from bright,
are lost on every moonless night.
They dart haphazardly in flight,
alight in any nest, and swift-
ly procreate. With old mates miffed,
Not-Too flocks are prone to rift.
