Sally Carter: In Praise of the Varifocal

If men don't make passes
At girls who wear glasses,
Ignore them and pay no attention.
For dim hairy yokels
Who 'diss' varifocals,
In my book are not worth a mention.

 Next time you're perplexed
'Cos some jerk's mocked your specs,
Just go find a big hunk of beef
Who instinctively senses,
Concealed by your lenses,
The latent pole dancer beneath.
