Basil Ransome-Davies: The Two-Toed Sloth

The two-toed sloth is mainly brown,
With subtle hints of green.
In trees it dangles upside-down,
Recumbent and unseen.
Just once a week the sleepy sloth,
Impelled by nature's call,
Descends into the undergrowth
To let its droppings fall.
While doing this, it won't move fast.
Presumably, it can't be arsed.
