Competition 31 : A Twyce-Told Tale

Miss Twye was soaping her breasts in her bath
When she heard behind her a meaning laugh
And to her amazement she discovered
A wicked man in the bathroom cupboard.

The late Gavin Ewart’s 1938 quatrain in New Verse leaves a lot of loose ends. What happened next? How did the saponaceous spinster extricate herself from her predicament or turn the tables? Did she even wish to extricate herself? Was the man really wicked, or merely a conscientious plumber working overtime on the geyser?

You are invited to satisfy the world’s curiosity and solve this 77 year old mystery by Sunday 15th November in up to 16 lines of verse, headed Competition 31, via the submissions page.
