Robin Hood’s green tights
Were no protection in fights
Against armoured knights.
Ed Shacklee: The Lemming
The lemming's a reclusive creature, sensible and docile,
who favors countryside to towns, the small to the colossal;
is fond of eating vegetables, plus getting lots of sleep,
and seems to feel a leg of lamb looks better on a sheep.
The odds that it would jump into the sea, en masse, are nil −
but as for those who made the myth, we can but pray they will.
Edmund Conti: Rabbits
James B. Nicola: Two Kinds of Moisture
L.A. Mereoie: Tailpiece
While wagtails, often seen in town,
Can only bob them up and down,
Redstarts, as G. White testified,
Can shiver them from side to side.
