Joyce Wilson: Cover Letter

Oh let me into your anthology
That I may play a part within the whole
And add my voice, without apology,
To this confederation of the soul.

I understand that making a selection
Is hard when it is outside your domain,
That you subscribe to habits of perfection
So no one finds a reason to complain.

Please let me join you bound and gold-embossed!
But out of sequence? Does the sequence matter
When you give these treasures, nearly lost,
Significance in academic patter?

If you must make an unforeseen omission,
Please let me join you in the next edition!
