Competition 50: Horse Lines

The mythical winged steed Pegasus made it past the winning post in Competition 49 though apart from that horses seem rare in LUPO’s pages compared with cats, birds, bears and dogs. The novelist Naomi Royde-Smith claimed I know two things about the horse/And one of them is rather coarse but the readers of LUPO are doubtless better informed, so you are invited to put this right with verse on any aspect of the equine world in up to 28 lines, remembering shorter is also always good, by the 24th of August.
