. . was born and raised in Los Angeles and now lives in New Zealand. After ten years editing the NZ Royal Society's natural history journal, she shifted to freelance work, including writing conservation plans for various native bird species.
She is widely published online, in New Zealand, Australian and Canadian journals, and in the United States, where various of her poems have appeared in Light Quarterly. She is co-author of Millionaire's Shortbread (University of Otago Press, 2003). Her book Trace Fossils is due to appear in 2009, as is her collection of satirical verse, Nearest and Dearest.
