Julie Kane's Naked Ladies

No! Not that sort of thing at all! They are a common Louisiana flower. Julie Kane, a quondam LUPO  contributor with eight pieces (issues 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13 and 20)) in its first four years (will ye  no come back again?)  has gathered, in one Louisiana State University Press volume of 162 pages, selections from her five previous collections. There are also nearly thirty new and uncollected items of her work. Described as  ‘a boomers’ Edna St Vincent Millay’ or ‘our 21^st century Dorothy Parker’ this book will clearly pack a punch both now and in future Christmas stockings.
