Mission Holiday’s begun!
We are here for more than fun.
We must fortify ourselves with midday drink.
For our working day’s not done
till the beaches have been won,
and we’ve turned a fetching shade of lobster pink.
Each Greek isle is meant to be
a new British colony –
raise the flag and never ever let it sink!
We’ll achieve our destiny
when the nations come to see
world maps newly splotched with lots of lobster pink.
Farewell sorrow! Farewell stress!
Brits will find new happiness,
in excess of anything they’ve dared to think.
The full reach of our success
comes when universal dress
is a costume that will blaze with lobster pink.
